Most of the time, design students find a ‘Gap’ in what they learn inside the class, and what they experience in the industry i.e. real world. Unitedworld Institute of Design focuses on bridging this gap to the utmost level. UID takes its students to explore designs outside the campus. During Industrial Visits, students are exposed to the current design trends, demands, growing market trends and future projections.
Students interact with various levels of workforce, management, designers and try to explore the new possibilities for innovation. Students are exposed to the challenges faced by the industry.
Gujarat has now become the hub of not only textile or jewellery designs and interior design studios and companies but also many other sectors which deal in design concepts or are heavily design based.
In the recent past, UID students have visited places such as- IIM-A, Hampi, Mill Owners Association Building and Sangath, Bharath Vijay Mills and other major industrial units.
Objectives of Industrial Visits:
To provide sufficient industry exposure to the students
- To make students aware of the challenges that an organization faces in the real world
- To provide real world exposure and a holistic overview of the day to day activities of an organization
