The Interactive Entertainment industry, informally referred to as the video game industry, is booming worldwide on a wide range of platforms and applications–from serious games to virtual reality entertainment. This multi billion dollar industry needs skilled and talented professionals to create increasingly immersive experiences for the ever growing audiences, both in India and abroad.
As part of the course, students will be exposed to different genres and applications of the video game medium, where they will discover the many different crafts combined in Interactive Entertainment Production. Along with introducing students to the practical aspects of interactive entertainment, the course will be a platform for students to harness their creativity and to express themselves.
Students get to hone their skills individually as well as on many team projects, while building a portfolio that showcases their creative practice.
Interactive Entertainment Production graduates can pursue a vast range of careers in the Video Games and Digital Entertainment industries. With the increase in resources, costs and risks, more advanced business practices have been implemented, with an emphasis on schedules, resource tracking, more sophisticated hiring practices, and much higher expectations from each person.
In addition, today’s students who have grown up with digital technology and video games are especially poised to take advantage of the features of educational games. Graduates pursue roles of content designers, game designers, level designers, level artists, 3D artists, UI designers, producers, product managers in any size studios working on all platforms from mobile, console, personal computers and AR/VR applications.
